Jordan Sarrou returns to racing with Team BMC in Chur, final preparation race before World Cups
Jordan Sarrou has recovered from his injury and is set to return to racing this weekend in Chur, Switzerland. Sarrou suffered from a broken finger after training with the French national team in March, causing him to miss the races in Elba and Guéret. However, after receiving the green light from Team BMC's staff, he is now ready to compete again.
“This is a huge relief,” said Sarrou. “Missing those races was disappointing, but I continued training and maintained my pre-season fitness. I feel strong and I am looking forward to contesting the victory in Switzerland.”
Sarrou was able to maintain his fitness by training on the road while recovering from his injury. Despite not being able to train as much on the BMC Fourstroke lately, he won the first race in the Coupe de France in Marseille earlier this year. Sarrou is confident that he can play a major role in the front of the race.
The second race in the ÖKK Bike Revolution series will be the final preparation for Sarrou and his teammates at Team BMC before the first World Cup in Nové Mesto the following week. For Janis Baumann, a member of the team, this is a special event as he lives close to the parcours.
The Team BMC race schedule in Chur on Sunday, 7 May, is as follows:
12:00 PM: Steffi Häberlin 2:15 PM: Jordan Sarrou, Titouan Carod, Juri Zanotti, Janis Baumann
